We are not able to locate any other information on the “ About Us” page about who in addition to Bryan and Karen are on the Lonestar Transfer team. We located one reviewer on Google who is Canadian, and she was still able to utilize Lonestar Transfer’s services.Īfter watching Bryan and Karen’s video, we explored the website’s “ About Us” page and found more information about this husband-wife team and how they are not only the founders but are very much involved with day-to-day operations of the company. Keep in mind Lonestar Transfer can potentially help you even if you do not live in the United States as it depends on the location of the timeshare itself. In the video, the Holloways are honest in stating that Lonestar Transfer cannot help everyone as there as so many state laws and different timeshares so they request potential clients to contact their company to receive a free consultation to discuss specifics before broadly claiming the company can help everyone. Perhaps they had a formal advocacy group at one time and rebranded it to be Lonestar Transfer which does not alarm us. We used several different search engines and were not able to locate any more information other than a bizarre rip-off report which does not seem to be credible as it did not provide any substantial information. Wondering what it was exactly they were doing before they launched their company in terms of helping their local community, we discovered that before they started Lonestar Transfer, they had an advocacy group called “Timeshare Justice Incorporated”. The Holloways take pride in helping many of their local community members successfully exit their timeshare contracts which encouraged them to start their own business and eventually expand their services beyond Rockwall, Texas. Not only does the video provide a spark of credibility, but it also gives the visitor an opportunity to see and hear the owners describe why they went into business and the services the company offers. The first part of the homepage includes a video of Bryan and Karen Holloway being interview by Good Morning Texas as part of Good Morning Texas’s Good Cents segment. If you have explored our other reviews, you know that we like to locate “who and why” on the company’s website quickly. Lonestar Transfer also doing business as Lonestar Transfer, LLC located in Rockwall, TX is a family-owned timeshare exit company that has been in operation for over a decade.įirst impression of the business website is the company makes an extra effort of ensuring that you get to know Bryan and Karen Holloway, the owners of the business, on more of a personal level which is a small detail often overlooked when designing a website.
TikTok took some nine months to reach 100 million monthly active users some analysts expect ChatGPT to have accomplished it in two. Suddenly, with AI directly in their control, consumers flocked to the app just as they did to the PC four decades earlier.ĬhatGPT went viral, likely surpassing TikTok as the fastest consumer app out of the gate. Released late in November by a San Francisco company wanting feedback on its technology, ChatGPT allows anyone to ask it a question. The chatbot that has caused the surge in interest is an app called ChatGPT. Now, directly in the hands of consumers, a version of the technology called generative AI is fueling hopes for rapid progress in everything from scientific discovery and robot companions to computer art and a cure for writer’s block. The technology has quietly invaded many corners of the real world, from commanding our robot vacuums to finishing our email sentences. Now in 2023, I’m having déjà vu, only this time the new technology is artificial intelligence.ĪI has been scaring people for decades, threatening to take over their jobs, according to futurists, or civilization, according to Hollywood. Centralized computers had already taken over newsrooms and many businesses. I remember the sunny day in the office when I unboxed my first personal computer with a screen that glowed green and a cooling fan with an otherworldly whir. Details contain information like From and To address, subject line, time, and message type. Tapping on the subject line, name of the sender, or details button within an email will reveal the message details. New email is further broken down into hierarchical sections, beginning with personal emails, notifications, and newsletters - in that particular order. It essentially allows you to divide the inbox up into multiple sections to help prioritize importance. When using the Smart Inbox, only new emails appear at the top of the inbox. You will still need to verify at least one email address on your account before Spark will let you proceed with syncing. This makes it possible to set up new devices with Spark virtually hassle free. One of my favorite things about the latest Spark update is its ability to sync both settings and accounts via iCloud. Go to: Settings → Sync Settings via Cloud. It was also, in retrospect, the first of many films to be regarded as an unwitting real-life recreation of This Is Spinal Tap, Larry Mullen's tearful visit to Graceland sees him all but perform a raga rendition of Heartbreak Hotel by Presley's grave. The album is, of course, inseparable from Phil Joanou's humourless monochrome rockumentary of the same name, which tanked at the box office and was savaged by the critics (the New York Times, again, regarded it as an exercise in "pure egomania", one of the kinder remarks made). Take your pick from: "This is a song that Charles Manson stole from The Beatles - we're stealing it back!" "The God I believe in isn't short o'cash, MISTER!" and "Put El Salvador through the amp and see what comes out." There was pomposity: a brief list of Bono's onstage banter can remove the enamel from the teeth of even the hardiest U2 fan. There was hubris: Rattle And Hum was the album in which U2 appeared to be inducting themselves into their own Rock'N'Roll Hall Of Fame, jamming with Dylan and BB King, covering The Beatles, citing Hendrix and playing in the same studios as Elvis. it's stultifying, it says nothing, it is big and pompous and ugly." who want it to be like 1969 again", declaring that, "We hate it for exactly the same reasons Johnny Rotten said he hated dinosaur groups in 1976. each attempt is embarrassing in a different way." Neil Tennant, quoted by Chris Heath not long after Rattle And Hum was released, saw it as something only loved by "ghastly rock purists. The New York Times thought the album was "plagued by U2's attempt to grab every mantle in the rock'n'roll hall of fame. The Village Voice described it as "an awful record", bogged down with "half-baked, overweening reality" and "know-nothingism". One part studio album, one part travelogue, one part document of their 1987 world tour for The Joshua Tree, Rattle And Hum is used as Exhibit A for those who hate U2. That said, it’s also worth noting that, while the CDC is reputable source of public health data on the matter, their online dashboard isn’t updated as frequently as others on this list. It’s important to have an idea of how many reported cases of coronavirus there are in your state, but it’s also equally important to know how to protect yourself from becoming another statistic. And that’s useful because sometimes infection case numbers aren’t necessarily the only information you need. It has more to do with the fact that the CDC provides this data in conjunction with trustworthy health guides and tips on how to deal with the coronavirus as an individual. But this dashboard’s value isn’t so much about the statistics and maps it provides. The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also has its own COVID-19 dashboard, which provides detailed information on the spread of coronavirus (especially as the data relates to the United States). Furthermore, the Coronavirus Map site also offers a summary of the latest news related to COVID-19 to help provide context for all of this data. The BBC’s visual guide to the coronavirus pandemic doesn’t quite look like a dashboard, but it does a great job of aggregating and organizing massive amounts of public health data into frequently updated, bite-sized maps and graphs. It is worth noting however, that since the data comes from so many different sources, it’s possible that this dashboard may report higher numbers of COVID-19 cases than other sources, which Johns Hopkins notes may be due to the fact that other sources are “updated less frequently.” Puts breaking (pandemic) news in perspective BBC News’ Visual Guide to the Pandemic Screenshot of BBC News' visual guide to the coronavirus pandemic article Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China, and local health departments, just to name a few.
